A lot of people, including some so called polyglots and language teachers, claim they can speak another language (or many languages), but when it really comes down to it and they have to use the language(s) in the real world, they can't do it very convincingly.
Can your language teacher demonstrate their language skills in the language they teach? Where is the proof of their ability?
